Last night, Dave was recognized by one of the preeminent business organizations in the world, Ernst & Young, for his career accomplishments as an entrepreneur and business leader. He was named as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year winner for New England in the Consumer and Small Business Emerging Technology category.

The recognition honored Dave’s accomplishments as a serial tech entrepreneur and the rapid growth of Carbonite. He accepted this recognition of his career-long dedication to the advancement of technology in the New England area yesterday at the awards gala hosted at the Boston Renaissance Waterfront Hotel.

According to Ernst & Young, the awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

Our team is very proud of Dave’s accomplishments and proud to be a part of executing his vision. We are excited for the bright future for the company under Dave’s leadership.

Bill discussed his confidence in the Carbonite online backup service as he introduce this week’s TechByter podcast, “The real safety net, and it’s one that has saved me more times than I like to admit, is Carbonite. It’s easy to make a dumb mistake that deletes files I need. I can get them back from my hot backup or from my Acronis backup. But more often than not, I’ve recovered them from my Carbonite backup.”
