Below are the components available during the beta period:

Automatic Backup - There are no schedules to set, no backup jobs to run; Carbonite automatically updates your backup whenever and wherever you’re connected to the Internet
Unlimited Storage - With Carbonite, you don’t have to worry about how much data you have to back up; you can back up as much or as little as you’d like for one low annual cost. No hidden fees for storage, or restoring files.
Bandwidth Saver - Carbonite slows down when you’re actively using your Mac so that it doesn’t interfere with your system’s performance.
Mac OS Integration - There’s no new interface to learn.

Carbonite is fully integrated with the Mac OS:
- Carbonite appears alongside other items in your System Preferences
- Control-click (or right-click) on any file or folder to view its backup status, add it to or remove it from your backup
- Optional menu bar icon allows you to view the status of your backup and access frequently-used options

Easy Restore - Carbonite makes it easy to restore files to your Mac with just a few clicks. Visit the Carbonite panel in System Preferences to view all of the files and folders in your backup arranged just as they are on your Mac. Simply select any file or folder and choose whether to restore it to its original location or to a new location on your computer.

Restore Assistant - With Carbonite, it’s just as easy to restore all of your files to a new Mac after a major catastrophe: just log in to our website from your new Mac and click “Restore” to download Carbonite and launch the Restore Assistant. The Restore Assistant will help you create new user accounts to match the ones on your old Mac.
