Carbonite automatically and securely backs up all of the irreplaceable contents of your computer to an external offsite location for only $71.95 per year (less than $6 per month) no matter how much stuff you need to back up.

A small program on your computer

Carbonite installs a small software program on your computer that works quietly in the background looking for new and changed files to back up. It looks and feels like part of your computer, and is integrated with your desktop, so there’s nothing new to learn.

Completely secure

Carbonite takes data privacy and security very seriously. Each of your files is encrypted twice before being backed up securely offsite. We actually use the same encryption techniques that banks use. Your files remain encrypted at our secure data centres, so only you can see and access them.

Everything is automatic

When your computer is not being used, Carbonite starts to automatically back up your new and changed files. You don’t have to do anything as it does it all for you! When you’re busy using your computer, Carbonite goes to sleep so it will never slow down the performance of your computer or your internet connection.

Get your files back with a few clicks

When disaster strikes, big or small, restoring your files with Carbonite is quick and easy. If you accidentally delete or otherwise lose some of your files, all it takes is a few clicks from your desktop to get them back. If your computer is damaged, stolen or “just dies” and you lose all your files, you can easily begin working again by using Carbonite to restore them all to a new computer.
